Generating five times the code is easy now. Capturing more than one times the value from it is hard - and it surfaces a whole new class of problems around deploying and adopting changes safely.
It's easy now to generate five+ times the amount of code you did a year ago. It's really hard to capture more than 1 times the value from it.
Really quickly, generating more code can actually create a whole new class of problems that many companies are not used to solving:
- How to deploy changes safely at much higher pace
- How to separate deploys from releases
- How to help your customers and the market adopt those changes
None of these things are new, but investing in them is no longer optional if you haven't already, or you'll very quickly be stuck.
