Everyone Should Have an Anti To-Do List

Everyone should have an Anti to-do list: the list of things you should never have to do yourself again.

This is a concept I first heard from the brilliant Claire Vo. It's something I think about a lot for myself now and when coaching others on adopting agents effectively.

Think through all the repeated things you're doing day to day on a computer that aren't exactly the most engaging. Are you looking something up in one browser tab, then copying and pasting it in a different one? A ChatGPT Work agent can do that for you. On a schedule.

Do you have a standard operating procedure for things like posting blog posts or scheduling webinars that involve cross checking 15 form fields until your eyes glaze over? Claude Cowork can do that for you.

Trawling through Sales Navigator looking for a post from a potential lead where you can add something helpful to the conversation? Let the robot narrow down the list.

I now have an agent plumbing the depths of a product backlog every couple of hours looking for items that are still relevant and closing them out if they're not.

A connector or plugin can make it simple, but you don't necessarily need one to be set up because these tools can use your browser for you. In the background.

The next time you're working down your to-do list, take a step back and think - do I really need to be doing this? Am I adding something unique or am I just pushing bits and bytes around?

If the answer is it doesn't need you to do it directly, then you've got something more fun to do with your robot friend of choice. It doesn't take long to get started.
